A New Day

“This is the day the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it.”  Psalm 118:24 (KJV)

Today you have a choice to give into that addiction, whether it be alcohol, drugs, sex, pornography, anorexia, bulimia, or any other addiction.

For some the consequences of addiction have taken a fatal toll.  Some have liver problems from which they will not recover.  Some unintentionally overdosed and died. Some got a sexually transmitted diseases that took their lives.  For some they chose to end their lives.

You do not have to be in bondage to these addictions, “So if the Son sets free, you really will be free.”  John 8:36 (NASB)

You do not have to be in bondage to your past.  Past wounds from others God can heal.  Past wounds that were self-inflicted God can heal. You have a choice as to how you will live this day.  You can continue in an unhealthy path, or you can live in freedom.  The choice is yours.

You do not have to listen to the lies of the devil. Satan seeks to destroy you, but Gods will for your life is peace, joy, and blessing.

Choose life.

Today “if you hear His voice do not harden your hearts.”  Hebrews 3:7-8 (NASB).  Allow the Holy Spirit to deal with your spirit. There is nothing to fear.  Allow yourself to be set free.

If you do not know where to begin start by praying, “God I am a sinner and I know that Jesus shed his blood to cover my sins.  Once I confess my sins you forgive and forget them.  Help me to walk in the freedom you want for me. Help me to forgive myself.  Help me to forgive others.  Help me to walk in newness of life.  Your Word says I am a new creation.  I believe and accept your Word.  In Jesus name.  Amen.”
