Do you ever feel you are unworthy, that you have made so many bad mistakes in life you cannot be forgiven?  You do no have to live with guilt and remorse.  God through Jesus sets us free.  “36 So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.”  John 8:36 New American Standard Bible 1995

The blood Jesus shed on the cross covers all your sins once you accept Him as Lord and Savior,   “28 for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.”  Matthew 26:28 New American Standard Bible 1995

1 John 1:5-10 New American Standard Bible 1995 states "5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.”

Acts 2:38-40 New American Standard Bible 1995 “38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” 40 And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “ Be saved from this perverse generation!”

As humans we tend to remember the things, we did that were wrong. They can gnaw at us and make us feel guilty. Once sins are under the blood of Jesus God does not want them weighing us down. God says in Hebrews 8:12 New American Standard Bible "12 FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TOWARD THEIR WRONGDOINGS, AND THEIR SINS I WILL NO LONGER REMEMBER.”

If God is capable of not remembering our sins (wrong doings) any longer then we should let, go of them also.

The apostle Paul wrote “13 Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.“  Philippians 3:13-14 New American Standard Bible

So, we are told not to look back but to move forward.

Dear Father please set these readers free from guilt and anxiety. Open their eyes to forgiveness and freedom in Christ.

In Jesus name I pray.
